Acoustics Engineer

About the Job:

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Acoustics Engineer to join our high-performing team in Egypt. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise in acoustics to support Architects, Mechanical Engineers, Interior Designers, Project Managers, and Senior Engineers by ensuring project specifications and acoustics requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities/Deliverables:

• Provide technical support in acoustics across multidisciplinary teams to meet project objectives and specifications.
• Understand client and architect requirements throughout all project phases: Design Concept, Schematic Design, Detailed Design, and Tender Documentation.
• Apply the latest technology and construction methods in sound isolation, noise control in building services, and environmental acoustics (internal and external).
• Handle bulk data, perform design analysis of building materials and finishes, and prepare technical reports using analysis software.
• Utilize and continuously learn acoustics applications such as EASE, Sound Plan, AutoCAD 2D/3D mapping, and other design tools for analysis and presentations.
• Prepare acoustics reports with compliance to international standards and project requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to deliver accurate and timely acoustics solutions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech in Engineering.) in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 7–8 years of work experience in acoustics engineering with proven expertise in preparing acoustics reports for projects.
• Strong technical report drafting skills with knowledge of international standards in acoustics engineering.
• Proficiency in acoustics software tools (EASE, Sound Plan, AutoCAD) is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary project teams.

Language Proficiency Requirements:

• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required.

Knowledge and Functional Competencies:

• Strong understanding of acoustics standards, design methods, and project requirements.
• Skilled in technical documentation, report preparation, and project presentation.
• Ability to manage multiple project tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
