Biomedical Engineer

About the Job

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Biomedical Design Engineer to join our multidisciplinary healthcare design team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the planning, design, coordination, and implementation of medical equipment and healthcare technology systems for hospitals, healthcare facilities, laboratories, and specialized medical centers.

The successful candidate will provide technical expertise throughout all project phases, from concept and detailed design through tendering, construction support, commissioning, and project handover, ensuring compliance with international healthcare standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities / Deliverables

• Lead medical equipment planning activities for healthcare projects from concept design through IFC (Issued for Construction) stage.
• Develop and review medical equipment schedules, room data sheets, equipment layouts, and technical specifications.
• Prepare detailed medical equipment planning reports and healthcare technology assessments.
• Coordinate medical equipment requirements with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, ICT, and low-current systems.
• Ensure proper integration of healthcare technologies within the overall facility design.
• Evaluate equipment workflow, accessibility, operational efficiency, and patient safety requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering.
• Master's Degree in Healthcare Engineering or Healthcare Technology Management is an advantage.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in healthcare consultancy, medical equipment planning, healthcare technology design, or healthcare engineering projects.
• Proven experience in hospitals, medical cities, healthcare campuses, laboratories, and specialized healthcare facilities.
• Experience working within engineering consultancy and multidisciplinary design environments.

Language Proficiency Requirements

Professional proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required.

• Familiarity with international healthcare planning standards and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent technical writing and report preparation skills.
