Electrical Power Engineer

About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Power Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and implementation of electrical power systems across a variety of projects. You will work on power generation, transmission, and distribution networks, ensuring compliance with international standards and delivering reliable engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities/Deliverables:

• Design and develop electrical power systems for LV/MV/HV networks, from conceptual stage to IFC (Issued for Construction).
• Prepare and review single-line diagrams, load flow studies, short circuit analysis, and protection coordination studies.
• Perform equipment sizing, including transformers, switchgear, cables, and auxiliary systems.
• Ensure compliance with international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, etc.) and regional regulations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems with civil, mechanical, and structural components.
• Review and approve vendor technical submittals, drawings, and specifications.
• Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical power systems.
• Provide technical support during project execution to clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies and trends in electrical power engineering.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Power Systems.
• For Engineer level: Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in electrical power system design and execution..
• Strong knowledge of generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
• Proficiency in electrical design software such as ETAP, DigSILENT, and Revit.
• Solid understanding of protection systems, power system studies, and grounding/earthing design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Language Proficiency Requirements:

• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required.

Knowledge and Functional Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of electrical power systems, codes, and standards.
• Familiarity with design workflows, cost estimation, and project scheduling tools.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
