Junior Civil Design Engineer

About the Job:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Civil Design Engineer to join our high-performing Transmission & Distribution (T&D) team. In this pivotal early-career role, you will contribute to the design and development of civil and structural elements of critical infrastructure projects. You'll work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions while developing your technical and professional capabilities within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities/Deliverables:

• Support the design and analysis of civil structures and foundations for T&D infrastructure projects, including substations and equipment platforms.
• Assist in preparing engineering reports, calculations, technical drawings, and construction documents under the supervision of senior engineers and team leads.
• Analyze structural behavior and material properties to ensure the durability and safety of civil designs.
• Collaborate with design assistants and drafting staff to develop plans and layouts, providing clear engineering input and specifications.
• Coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams (electrical, mechanical, architectural) to ensure seamless integration of civil components.
• Participate in internal reviews and quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with client and regulatory standards.
• Follow internal project schedules and contribute to timely task delivery, escalating challenges where appropriate.
• Communicate regularly with senior team members about project progress, risks, and milestones.
• Take initiative in developing skills, improving deliverables, and contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience, ideally in engineering consultancy or infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of structural design principles, concrete and steel construction, and foundation systems.
• Familiarity with design software and tools relevant to civil engineering.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality work under pressure.
• Enthusiastic team player with a commitment to excellence and attention to detail.

Language Proficiency Requirements:

• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required.
