Structural Design Engineer

About the Job:

We are seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of high-quality structural designs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed structural models and drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient and innovative structural solutions.

Key Responsibilities/Deliverables:

• Prepare detailed structural design drawings and models using BIM software (Revit).
• Conduct structural analysis and ensure compliance with engineering codes and project specifications.
• Coordinate and collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate structural elements into overall designs.
• Perform clash detection, model coordination, and resolve design conflicts with other disciplines.
• Generate accurate quantity takeoffs and assist in preparing construction documents.
• Support the implementation of BIM methodologies and best practices within the structural engineering team.
• Participate in meetings, presentations, and discussions to communicate project progress and technical findings effectively.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• 5-10 years of experience in structural design and modeling using BIM software.
• Experience working with multinational design consultants.
• Proficiency in BIM tools (Revit) and structural analysis software.
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, codes, and standards.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and coordinating design efforts.

Language Proficiency Requirements:

• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required.

Knowledge and Functional Competencies:

• Strong expertise in structural design, modeling, and analysis.
• Proficiency in Revit and other BIM tools for structural design and documentation.
• Excellent understanding of building codes, standards, and structural engineering principles.
• Ability to identify and resolve design conflicts in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and technical acumen.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate across different disciplines.
