Structural Draftsman

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Designer, to join our dynamic team in Cairo. You will be responsible for creating detailed and accurate Structural designs for a variety of building projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications. You will work closely with a team of engineers and architects to deliver high-quality Structural systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities/Deliverables:

• Drafting/Modeling comprehensive Structural designs, including plans, sections, details, and 3D models using BIM software (Revit).
• Performing structural analysis and design calculations.
• Coordinating with other disciplines (e.g., Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical) to ensure design integration.
• Preparing and reviewing construction documents, including shop drawings and submittals.
• Conducting site visits to observe construction progress and resolve any design-related issues.
• Staying updated on the latest industry codes, standards, and best practices for Structural design.
• Contributing to the development of innovative and sustainable Structural solutions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma/Technical/Bachelor Education with any specialization.
• Minimum 5-10 years of progressive experience in Structural design and drafting.
• Strong proficiency in BIM software, particularly Revit for Structural modeling.
• In-depth knowledge of Structural engineering principles, codes, and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Language Proficiency Requirements:

• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required.

Knowledge and Functional Competencies:

• Strong understanding of structural analysis and design principles.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
