SR.DESIGNER, PROTECTION (LAHORE, PAKISTAN)

Job Purpose

To monitor and implement drafting standards, guide, and facilitate designers to improve drafting quality. To reinforce drafting team and carry out drafting/ detailing works for T&D projects.

Key Accountability Areas

General:

• Implement drafting standards universally.
• Guide and ensure drafting standards as per client requirements.
• Drafting, detailing, scheduling as per instruction of Manager and Lead Engineer of respective department.
• Assist project team in relation to project deliverables.
• Ensure timely production & quality of allocated works.
• Assist project engineer in BOQ take-off.
• Responsible for printing and organizing submittals with required QMS documentation.
• Coordinate with the office boys for completion of submittals.
• Record submittal delivery for the assigned activities.
• Coordinate and ensure As-built submittals as per client requirements.

Provide Assistance:

-Provide assistance to the following:

• The Management as required.
• The Manager as required.
• The Lead Engineers and Engineers in the development of the project deliverables.
• Assist in day-to-day department operations when necessary.

QA/QC:

• Follow QA/QC drawing standards and exchange information with other disciplines.
• Review of drafting issues and maintain QA/QC records.
• Review drafting in compliance with project requirements.

Responsibility:

• Ensure that the operational work should be as per the job description and the required deliverables from this position, taking into consideration the general company guidelines.
• Able to anticipate problems and make the necessary proactive steps to prevent them.

Delivery:

• Plans timely to deliver as per schedule. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of outputs. Anticipates any possible roadblocks that might come in the way of delivery and fixes them to meet timelines.
