Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Project Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team within the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO). This role is critical in ensuring robust financial oversight and reporting across major construction.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in project finance, cost control, and financial planning within the construction and engineering sectors.

Key Responsibilities/Deliverables:

  • Develop comprehensive project budgets aligned with scope and timelines 
  • Prepare and analyze financial forecasts and variance reports 
  • Ensure adherence to budgetary constraints across all project phases
  • Monitor and analyze project expenses including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs 
  • Identify and investigate cost overruns or inefficiencies 
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses and return on investment (ROI) assessments
  • Generate regular financial reports for internal and external stakeholders 
  • Create and maintain dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) 
  • Support month-end and year-end financial close processes 
  • Assess financial risks and propose mitigation strategies 
  • Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analyses to guide decision-making 
  • Review contracts to ensure accurate financial terms are tracked 
  • Assist in the preparation of progress billings and payment applications 
  • Coordinate with procurement and accounts payable on vendor payments 
  • Partner with field teams, project managers, and finance teams to align financial performance with project goals 
  • Support internal audits and regulatory compliance processes 
  • Manage and continuously update project cost tracking tools to ensure accurate and real-time financial data.
  • Utilize Excel, Power BI, and financial modeling software to perform detailed data analysis and support strategic decision-making

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 13+ years of experience in financial analysis  within the construction or engineering industries. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline 
  • Good communication skills, both in presentation and documentation.
  • Attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent reporting, documentation, and coordination skills.
