Job Purpose:
We are currently looking for a Sr. Monitoring & Reporting Engineer to be part of our Project Management Office (PMO) team, based on a large healthcare program in Riyadh.
The program's core objective is to provide consultancy services to operate the Project Management Office, facilitating the delivery of healthcare infrastructure program and implementing streamlined processes and procedures for both ongoing and upcoming projects.
Key Responsibilities/Deliverables:
- Operate within a Project Management Office (PMO) framework, overseeing performance monitoring and reporting processes to ensure optimal system functionality and the delivery of precise, actionable reports to stakeholders.
- Prepare comprehensive management reports and presentations, including overall project progress, milestone statuses, deliverables, risk assessments, and progress on mitigation strategies. Produce periodic reports (weekly, monthly, annual), KPI dashboards, and other relevant performance summaries.
- Develop and maintain project progress dashboards, ensuring regular updates and alignment with PMO requirements.
- Design, implement, and manage monitoring and reporting tools and procedures that adhere to PMO standards and global best practices.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and workflows, and integrate them into project reporting processes.
- Create and maintain critical path logic networks and bar charts for detailed project tracking and visualization of timelines.
- Deliver regular updates and in-depth reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting actionable insights and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with Program Directors and stakeholders to develop robust monitoring and reporting systems tailored to program needs and infrastructure project requirements.
- Actively contribute to the design and refinement of monitoring and reporting tools for effective tracking of infrastructure projects within the program.
- Identify and address gaps in monitoring, evaluation, and information management systems that may impede projects execution.
- Support the creation of monitoring and reporting plans, survey designs, data analysis methodologies, and other evaluation mechanisms essential for program performance tracking.
- Enhance team capacity by building expertise in monitoring and reporting systems, fostering a culture of continuous improvement through periodic reflection and analysis of program data.
- Customize project controls systems to meet unique project needs, ensuring adaptability and relevance to specific program requirements.
- Address deficiencies in monitoring systems by implementing innovative strategies and ensuring their alignment with program goals, leading to enhanced program execution and evaluation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Fifteen (15 plus) years of experience in PMO, large capital projects and/or large programs or similar complex projects.
- University degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
- Experience in KSA/GCC region (highly recommended)
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to analyze large and complex data and worksheets.
- Good communication skills, both in presentation and documentation.
- Attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Language Proficiency Requirements:
- Proficiency in Arabic is essential.
- Good command over English.
Knowledge and Functional Competencies:
- Excellent report writing skills as well as excellent presentations.
- Fluency in both written and spoken Arabic and English
