SPECIALIST, DATA ANALYST

Job Purpose

Responsible for the data within SAP systems, including ETL processes, data quality maintenance, and business reporting. Collaborate with business users to gather requirements, troubleshooting data issues, ensuring compliance with data governance standards, and supporting post-go-live activities. Ensures data accuracy, system stability, and enables data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Accountability Areas

Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL) in SAP:

• Assist in the design and implementation of ETL processes within SAP systems.
• Support seamless data migration across various SAP modules.
• Ensure data integrity throughout the ETL pipeline.

Data Quality Maintenance and Validation:

• Ensure consistent data quality in SAP modules such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, SAP BODS, and SAP MDG.
• Monitor and validate data integrity to meet business requirements and compliance standards.
• Perform periodic data audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Business Reporting and Analytics Support:

• Provide support for business reporting and analytics using SAP BW, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and other Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
• Develop and optimize reports to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate with business users to translate data requirements into actionable insights.

Troubleshooting Data Inconsistencies:

• Identify and resolve data inconsistencies within SAP systems.
• Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues promptly.
• Implement corrective measures to ensure consistent data flow and accuracy.

Documentation and User Guide Creation:

• Document data processes and workflows for future reference.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive user guides for data-related activities and tools.
• Ensure that all documentation adheres to internal standards and best practices.

Collaboration with Business Users:

• Engage with business stakeholders to gather data requirements and provide reporting solutions.
• Customize reports and dashboards to meet the specific needs of business units.
• Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure alignment.

Compliance with Data Governance and Security:

• Ensure compliance with data governance standards and security policies in SAP systems.
• Implement and monitor data privacy and protection measures.
• Collaborate with security teams to maintain data access controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
