Job Purpose
Design, develop, and manage Mendix-based applications to support low-code/no-code initiatives, accelerating development, improving efficiency, and enhancing collaboration between business and IT teams. Ensure technical viability and provide support and guidance throughout the application lifecycle.
Key Accountability Areas
Application Design & Development:
- Design, develop, and implement Mendix applications to meet business requirements.
- Build and maintain scalable, reusable, and modular components within Mendix.
Collaboration & Requirements Gathering:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into Mendix applications.
- Work closely with the RAD team to support iterative development and deployment.
Best Practices & Standards:
- Ensure alignment with best practices in low-code development and Mendix standards.
- Stay current with platform updates, new features, and best practices to maximize Mendix use.
Mendix Environment Management:
- Manage and maintain the Mendix environment, including user roles, permissions, and application performance.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and provide solutions to complex technical issues in Mendix.
Application Monitoring & Optimization:
- Monitor Mendix application health, ensuring performance, security, and reliability.
- Optimize Mendix configurations to support scalability and flexibility.
Technical Leadership & Support:
- Provide technical leadership to the LCNC team and support business users and analysts in application use.
- Support Mendix training initiatives to enhance IT capabilities and ensure smooth platform adoption.
- Act as a subject matter expert, offering guidance on application architecture and development practices.
Quality Assurance & Documentation:
- Work closely with QA teams to support testing and ensure applications meet quality standards.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for Mendix applications, clearly communicating development approaches and operational details.
Code Reviews & Continuous Improvement:
- Lead or participate in code reviews to ensure quality and alignment with best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying areas of optimization within the development process.
