Job Purpose

To lead the Details process and Review the Electrical Shop drawings from start to finish for all Electrical systems, ensuring that all Shop drawings meet client requirements, are safe, functional, overseeing the development of detailed construction plans. Using Revit program

Key Accountability Areas

•  Product Design and Development:  Developing and create/Review the shop drawings of Electrical components / systems based on client requirements, including orthographic, isometric, and exploded views, using REVIT,                 
•  Electrical Systems Design: to have expert for electrical systems for buildings such as power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security and control systems.                
•  Compliance and Regulation: Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations, such as the National Electrical Code (NEC), International Building Code (IBC).                
•  Collaboration: Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including senior engineers, architects, contractors, and clients, to coordinate electrical design activities.                
•  Quality Control: Review and verify the accuracy of electrical drawings to ensure they meet project requirements and adhere to quality standards.                
•  Problem-solving: Identify and resolve technical issues or discrepancies in electrical designs, working closely with the engineering team as needed.                
•  Communication: Effectively communicate with internal teams and external vendors to convey technical information and address any concerns related to electrical drawings.                
•  Project Coordination: Assist in project coordination by providing timely updates on the status of electrical drawings and collaborating with other team members to meet project deadlines.                
•  Continuous Improvement: Staying updated on industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies in electrical design. Seeking opportunities to improve design processes, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Role Accountability

•  BIM Modeling and Analysis: Create /Review detailed/Shop drawings using the   REVIT Program                
•  Accuracy and Precision: Ensuring accuracy and precision in all technical drawings is paramount, must adhere to industry standards and specifications to produce drawings that are reliable and consistent.                
•  Interpretation of Specifications: Must interpret engineering specifications, sketches, and technical documents accurately to translate them into detailed drawings.                
•  Regulatory Compliance: Engineers must ensure that their shop drawings comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations, conducting research, staying updated on regulatory changes, and coordinating with regulatory bodies for certification and approval processes.                
•  Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication with engineers, designers to clarify requirements, address issues, and ensure alignment throughout the design process.                
•  Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Responsible for identifying and resolving technical challenges that arise during the detailed process.                
•  Drafting Electrical Plans: Creating detailed electrical drawings, plans, and diagrams using software REVIT. involves accurately representing the layout of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, outlets, switches, and other components.                
•  Interpreting Specifications: Reviewing technical specifications, and design documents to understand project requirements and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.                
• Ensuring Accuracy: Checking drawings for accuracy and completeness, including dimensions, labels, and symbols. Identifying and correcting errors or discrepancies in drawings to maintain quality standards.                
•  Updating Drawings: Revising and updating electrical drawings as needed to reflect changes in design, specifications.                
• Maintaining Documentation: Organizing and maintaining a library of electrical drawings, documents, and related project files.                 
•  Adhering to Safety Standards: Ensuring that electrical drawings comply with relevant safety regulations and building codes.                
•  Meeting Deadlines: Working efficiently to meet project deadlines and milestones, managing workload effectively, and communicating any potential delays or challenges to project managers.                
•  Team Leadership: Managing or mentoring junior engineers and staff, guiding them in technical tasks, and ensuring their professional growth.    

Academic Qualification

Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
