Job Purpose
Creating detailed civil engineering designs and schematics for various projects. Analyzing project requirements, developing and refining structural systems, ensuring strict compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to deliver efficient and effective solutions. Providing innovative approaches that meet design specifications and project objectives while optimizing both performance and cost.
Key Accountability Areas
Design and Development
- Create and develop detailed civil designs and ensure they meet project requirements and safety standards.
- Design of precast concrete as preferable
- Perform Value Engineeering
- Conduct engineering calculations and simulations to assess the feasibility, stability, and performance of design solutions.
- Evaluate project sites to gather data on soil conditions, environmental factors, and existing structures, which informs design decisions.
- Incorporate sustainable design practices and materials to enhance environmental performance and reduce the ecological impact of projects.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure designs adhere to local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and reports that detail design plans, materials, and construction methods.
Collaboration and Quality Assurance:
- Work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate design elements and address any technical challenges.
- Oversee construction processes to ensure that design specifications are accurately implemented, and that work meets quality standards.
Problem-Solving:
- Address and resolve engineering problems and design issues that arise during the planning and construction phases.
