Job Purpose

We are seeking a qualified Structural Engineer who will be responsible for the analysis, design, and coordination of structural engineering projects while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, industry standards, and client requirements. You will work closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective structural solutions.

Functional Responsibilities

Design and Analysis

• Develop and analyze structural designs for buildings, and other infrastructure using engineering principles and software.
• Perform detailed calculations to ensure structures can withstand loads and environmental factors, including wind, earthquakes, and snow.
• Choose appropriate materials based on structural requirements, cost, and durability.

Compliance and Documentation

• Ensure all designs meet local, national, and international building codes and standards.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports for construction and regulatory approval.

Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with architects, civil engineers, and contractors to integrate structural designs with other aspects of the project.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.

Site and Construction Management

• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, verify compliance with design specifications, and address any issues that arise.
• Identify and resolve design issues or construction challenges, proposing practical solutions.

Professional Development and Innovation

• Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and technologies to improve design practices and enhance structural performance.

General Responsibilities

• Experience in structural engineering design of buildings projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software, including SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, Concise Beam, and STAAD.Pro.
• Experience in the design of precast reinforced concrete elements is considered an advantage.
• Thorough knowledge of the American codes and standards (ASCE, ACI, PCI, and AISC) and the Saudi Building Code (SBC), with a solid understanding of their application in structural design.
• Strong technical knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural steel, and composite structural systems.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams and manage multiple project assignments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is considered an advantage.
• Proficiency in technical report writing and engineering documentation.
• Experience working with Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows and digital engineering tools is preferred.
• Good understanding of construction methodologies and structural detailing principles.
