Job Purpose

The QS Engineer is responsible for quantity take-off, measurement, cost estimation, payment certification, and commercial documentation for construction projects. The role requires accuracy, drawing interpretation capability, and strong commercial awareness

Functional Responsibilities

Quantity Take-Off & Measurement

Perform accurate quantity take-offs from engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQ documents.

Measure executed works for interim payment applications, subcontractor evaluations, and commercial reporting.

Maintain organized measurement records and ensure quantities are traceable and auditable.

Tendering, Estimation & Contract Support

Support tender preparation, cost estimation, pricing inputs, and commercial comparisons.

Review technical and commercial documents to identify measurement gaps, scope risks, and pricing assumptions.

Support contract administration through BOQ analysis, variation measurement, and billing documentation.

Billing & Payment Certification

Prepare and review payment certification documents and support billing procedures.

Coordinate with site, planning, cost control, and finance teams to validate progress quantities and payment status.

Assist in evaluating variation orders and claims from a quantity and measurement perspective.

  • Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.

Qualification

Bachelor in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering
