Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified and commercially driven QS Engineer (Civil) to join our expanding team. The role will support EPC mega-scale projects, including substations and electrical construction projects, with a strong focus on cost management, commercial contract review, and financial control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation for civil works related to substations and electrical infrastructure

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts for EPC projects

  • Support commercial contract review, including scope alignment, pricing structures, and contractual obligations

  • Administer contracts in coordination with project and commercial teams, ensuring compliance with EPC and FIDIC conditions

  • Monitor project cost control, variations, claims, and change orders across large-scale construction packages

  • Support tendering and procurement activities, including subcontractor evaluations, commercial comparisons, and negotiations

  • Coordinate with engineering disciplines (civil, electrical, mechanical) to ensure quantities reflect approved IFC drawings

  • Prepare and maintain cost reports, variation logs, and financial dashboards for internal and client stakeholders

  • Support preparation of interim payment certificates, final accounts, and commercial close-out documentation

  • Contribute to risk identification and mitigation from a commercial and cost perspective

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost control, or commercial roles within EPC or large-scale construction projects

  • Strong exposure to EPC project environments, preferably in substations, power, or electrical infrastructure projects

  • High proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and QS software

  • Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings

  • Solid understanding of commercial contracts and cost management principles (FIDIC experience is a strong advantage)

  • Familiarity with Revit or Civil 3D is preferred

  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset

  • Ability to work across mega-scale, fast-paced project environments
