Sr. Precast Structural Design Engineer

Job Purpose

The Senior Precast Structural Design Engineer will lead the design and development of precast concrete structures for various construction projects. This includes creating detailed design plans, conducting structural analyses, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The role also involves collaborating with project teams, clients, and construction personnel to ensure the successful execution of projects.

Key Accountability Areas

• Design and Analysis:
  • Develop detailed structural designs and drawings for precast concrete elements using CAD and other design software.
  • Perform structural analyses and calculations to ensure the safety and integrity of designs.
  • Select appropriate materials and construction methods for precast structures.
• Project Management:
  • Lead and manage design projects from conception to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders to integrate precast design with overall project requirements.
  • Prepare project documentation, including design reports, specifications, and construction plans.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor the implementation of designs and provide technical support during construction.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and other project-related documents.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Liaise with clients to understand project requirements and provide technical expertise.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Present design concepts and solutions to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.

Role Accountability

• Education:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in structural design, with a focus on precast concrete structures.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading design projects.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., SBC,AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD.Pro, ETABS).
  • Strong understanding of structural analysis principles and methods.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and building codes (e.g., ACI, AISC, Eurocodes).
• Soft Skills:
