Job Purpose

We are seeking a skilled Civil Structural Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reinforced concrete design, with extensive experience in technical office settings. They must be proficient in both AUTOCAD and BIM (REVIT), as well as possess excellent drafting and modeling capabilities. 

Key Accountability Areas

  1. Reinforced Concrete Design: Utilize your 3 to 5 years of experience in the reinforced concrete field to contribute to the design and analysis of structural elements.
  2. AUTOCAD and BIM Proficiency: Demonstrate excellent proficiency in AUTOCAD and BIM (REVIT) programs, as they are essential for drafting, modeling, and producing accurate structural designs.
  3. Independent Work: Work independently to produce detailed shop drawings, including formwork and reinforcement layouts, while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
  4. Coordination: Collaborate effectively with other departments, including Architecture, Mechanical, and Electrical, to ensure seamless integration of structural designs with other building systems.
  5. Precast Experience: Possess good experience in the precast field, demonstrating proficiency in precast concrete design and detailing.
  6. PCI Code Familiarity: Be familiar with the PCI (Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute) code to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  7. Concise Beam Program: Familiarity with Concise Beam program is preferred for efficient analysis and design of concrete beams.
  8. Repair Drawings: Proficiency in creating repair drawings, demonstrating an understanding of structural rehabilitation techniques and methodologies.
  9. Structural Analysis Programs: Familiarity with structural analysis programs such as ETABS, SAP, SAFE, and STAAD Pro for accurate analysis and optimization of structural designs.
  10. International Code Familiarity: Knowledge of international building codes such as ACI (American Concrete Institute), ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers), UBC ,AISC, and SBC is preferred to ensure compliance with global standards and regulations.

Role Accountability

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized or government university.
  • 3 to 5 years of working experience in the reinforced concrete field, preferably in a technical office environment.
  • Excellent proficiency in AUTOCAD and BIM (REVIT) programs.
  • Strong drafting and modeling capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
