Job Purpose

Oversee and optimize the end-to-end supply chain processes, ensuring efficient procurement, production, and delivery of goods. Managing supplier relationships, compliance, and collaborating with various departments to meet purchasing needs while utilizing systems like SAP ERP for maximum effectiveness.

Key Accountability Areas

Strategic Supplier Management:

  • Oversee the strategic selection, qualification, and negotiation processes with suppliers. Negotiate, execute, and oversee contracts/orders within specified authorization limits. Conduct preparation and pre-negotiation activities for contracts/orders that exceed authorization limits. Identify and engage robust suppliers/logistics providers to establish a consolidated foundation for both current and future requirements.

Compliance and Legal:

  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of KSA customs and clearance policy, administrative regulations, and legal prerequisites pertinent to the procurement of goods. Review and approve the Comparison sheet within designated authorization limits. Collaborate with the Legal Advisor to draft contracts in accordance with legal requirements.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Engage in collaborative efforts with all relevant support functions to ensure the fulfillment of purchasing requirements. Effectively manage product deliveries in alignment with project activity schedules. Analyze the status report of Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders, taking necessary actions to resolve any identified issues. Investigate and address complaints related to supplies/delivered materials.

Market Analysis and Price Monitoring:

  • Evaluate market conditions, pricing structures, delivery terms, and trends to ascertain current and future material availability.

SAP ERP Expertise:

  • Offer expertise in leveraging the SAP ERP system to enhance the effectiveness of the Supply Chain team.

Role Accountability

HR Proficiency:

  • Ability to recruit, recognize and cultivate high performers and expose them in order to create a robust second line of management.
  • Ability to recognize low performers and guide them to improve or release them.
  • Ability to treat subordinates equally without any discrimination.
  • Assessment criteria of subordinates is performance that leads to planned results.
  • Ensure availability of delegation of authority matrix to have sufficient delegations as per company policy.

  • Provide periodic work progress reports.
  • Responsible for monitoring and controlling budgets and expenses to achieve the optimum cost efficiency.

Organizational Development:

  • Develop the organizational structure according to the current requirements taking into consideration future and development plans.
  • Ensure availability of job descriptions for all job roles and deployment.

Business Process Improvements:

  • Develop, coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.
  • Should be conversant and able to navigate through IT solutions especially those relevant to his job and business.
  • Promote the automated systems and using them fully, to spread its culture.

Academic Qualification

Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or Business Management
