Job Purpose

Managing the execution of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. Coordinating various aspects of the project, including design, procurement, construction, and safety compliance.

Key Accountability Areas

Project Planning & Scheduling:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, and designers to finalize project timelines and budgets.
  • Review and adjust schedules as needed to address delays or unforeseen circumstances.

Resource Management:

  • Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, materials, and equipment.
  • Supervise the procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Ensure that resources are used efficiently to minimize costs and delays.

Construction Supervision:

  • Oversee the day-to-day construction activities and ensure work is performed according to plans, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Inspect construction sites regularly to ensure quality control and compliance with design specifications.
  • Manage subcontractors and ensure they meet their deadlines and quality requirements.

Safety Management:

  • Promote and enforce safety protocols on construction sites.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.

Cost & Budget Management:

  • Track project expenses and ensure that the project stays within budget.
  • Review and approve invoices and payments to contractors and suppliers.
  • Identify potential cost overruns and work with the team to find solutions.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between stakeholders (clients, contractors, subcontractors, regulatory bodies, etc.).
  • Coordinate with other engineers, project managers, and teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Communicate project progress, issues, and potential risks to senior management.

Problem Solving & Issue Resolution:

  • Proactively identify and resolve issues related to construction delays, technical problems, or resource shortages.
  • Develop contingency plans for unexpected challenges.

  • Academic Qualification

    Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering
