Job Purpose

As an Assistant Engineer specializing in 5S deployment, auditing, and sustaining, you will play a key role in promoting and maintaining an organized, efficient, and safe work environment. You will work closely with the engineering and operations teams to implement 5S principles, conduct regular audits, and ensure sustained adherence to established standards

Key Accountability Areas

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement 5S deployment plans tailored to specific work areas and processes.

• Conduct regular audits to assess the effectiveness of 5S practices and identify areas for improvement.

• Analyze audit findings and work with team members to develop action plans for addressing deficiencies and sustaining 5S standards.

• Provide training and guidance to employees on 5S principles, including sorting, setting in order, shining, standardizing, and sustaining.

• Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to 5S, such as workspace organization, cleanliness, and safety compliance.

• Act as a champion for 5S initiatives, promoting awareness and fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.

• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure adherence to 5S standards in external work areas and processes.

• Assist in the development and implementation of visual management systems to support 5S objectives.

• Support engineering projects and initiatives as needed, providing technical expertise and contributing to overall departmental goals.

Role Accountability

HR Proficiency:

  • Training of sub-ordinates and forming a team to get the work effectively.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
  • Delegate sub-ordinates in each respective assignment.
  • Ensures fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale, motivation of subordinates.

Delivery:

  • Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
  • Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
  • Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

Problem-Solving:

  • Resolve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues.

Quality:

  • Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.

Business Process Improvements:

  • Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seeking automations opportunities as much as possible.

Compliance:

  • Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions.

Safety:

  • Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.

Academic Qualification

Diploma Degree in Industrial Engineering or Any relevant field

4 to 6 Years
