Job Purpose
We are looking for a qualified QS Civil Engineer with proven experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry. The role requires strong technical expertise in analyzing project documents, preparing accurate BOQs, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and methodologies.
Key Accountability Areas

Project Analysis: Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs to understand project scope and requirements.

Quantity Surveying: Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for civil works, materials, and trades in accordance with project scope.

Collaboration: Work closely with tendering, procurement, and engineering teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of project quantities.

Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks, gaps, and uncertainties in project documentation and propose mitigation strategies.

Documentation & Reporting: Prepare reports, cost breakdowns, assumptions, and methodologies used in quantity surveying.

Presentation: Present calculations, comparisons, and recommendations to the Tendering Engineer/Manager for review and approval.

Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to regulatory standards, methods of measurement, codes, and industry best practices.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with new technologies, market trends, and cost-efficient methodologies to enhance surveying accuracy and support value engineering initiatives.

Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.

Strong knowledge of civil works, construction methodologies, and techniques.

Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office tools.

Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

Effective communication, coordination, and presentation abilities.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and deliver under tight schedules.
