CONSULTANT, FUNCTIONAL- Windchill PLM

Job Purpose
To support and enhance the Windchill PLM system through configuration, customization, integration, and user assistance, ensuring reliable product data and lifecycle management across the organization.
Key Accountability Areas
Implementation & Configuration:
- Configure and maintain end-to-end Windchill PLM implementation project.
- Configure Windchill modules (e.g., PDMLink, ProjectLink, Change Management, Parts & BOM, Document Management).
- Design and implement Windchill lifecycles, workflows, roles, ACLs, and object types.
Customization & Development:
- Develop custom solutions using Windchill APIs, Java, Info*Engine, and JSP.
- Create and enhance workflows, reports, and user interfaces using Windchill tools.
- Collaborate with development teams on customization tasks and solution packaging.
Data Migration & Integration:
- Execute data migration strategies using Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM) or other ETL tools.
- Integrate Windchill with external systems such as SAP (ERP), MES, CAD tools (Creo, AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Develop and manage middleware-based data interfaces and mappings.
User Support & Adoption:
- Serve as the SME for Windchill PLM, providing L1/L2 support to business users and engineers.
- Develop training materials and conduct end-user training and UAT sessions.
- Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption.
Governance & Documentation:
- Define and enforce PLM standards, best practices, and configuration documentation.
- Support audits, compliance checks, and system performance assessments.
- Maintain up-to-date technical and user documentation.

- Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
- Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
- Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

- Solve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues.

- Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.

- Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.
Compliance:
- Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions.
Health, Safety, and Environment:
- Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.
Academic Qualification
Bachelor Degree in Information Mgmt. Sciences & Systems or Any relevant field
