Industrial Complex, Riyadh

The center of alfanar’s industrial activities is alfanar Industrial Complex situated in the Third Industrial Zone on Al-Kharj Road, Riyadh.

Spread across 700,000 square meters, the Complex houses alfanar’s facilities.

The Complex has a comprehensive infrastructure including a data and communication center as well as a commercial zone.

Job Purpose

To carry out customs clearance activities for import and export shipments in compliance with regulations and company requirements. The role ensures accurate documentation, smooth coordination with stakeholders, and timely clearance to support operational needs.

Key Accountability Areas

Customs Clearance Execution

  • Process import and export documentation in accordance with customs regulations and internal requirements.
  • Submit clearance applications to the relevant authorities and follow up on approval status.
  • Verify HS codes, tariff classifications, and duty calculations for accuracy.

Shipment Coordination

  • Communicate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers to support timely shipment clearance and delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to provide shipment status updates and resolve clearance issues.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound shipment schedules to meet operational timelines.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Follow applicable customs laws, trade regulations, and company policies in all clearance activities.
  • Keep updated on changes to customs rules, tariffs, and trade agreements.
  • Support audits and inspections conducted by customs or other regulatory bodies.

Documentation and Record Management

  • Prepare and maintain shipment and clearance documents such as invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and permits.
  • Archive clearance records for reference and compliance.

Issue Resolution

  • Address clearance-related delays or discrepancies in coordination with suppliers, carriers, and authorities.
  • Escalate complex issues to the Section Manager or Manager for further action.

Reporting

  • Record and report clearance-related data such as lead times, costs, and delay occurrences.
  • Suggest ideas for improving clearance efficiency and cost reduction.

  • Ability to obtain updated soft and technical skills related to the job

Delivery:

  • Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
  • Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
  • Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

Problem-Solving:

  • Solve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues.

Quality:

  • Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.

Business Process Improvements:

  • Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.

Compliance:

  • Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions.

Health, Safety, and Environment:

  • Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.

Academic Qualification

Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Any relevant field
