Demand Planning Coordinator| alfanar Electric

Job Purpose

Manage the interface between the metal factory and internal customers (other business units of Alfanar), ensuring customer demand is scheduled within the metal factory (in coordination with production planning) to give accurate commitment dates, and then ensure all customer orders are delivered on-time. Represent internal customers within the metal factory, and ensure they are satisfied by fulfilling their requirements.

Key Accountability Areas

Effective communication with internal customers, and customer satisfaction
• Manage the interface between the metal factory & other business units (BU), ensure effective & efficient communication with them, and represent them internally and follow their demand.
• Receive and review monthly demand from BUs, ensure completeness of information needed by metal factory, and analyze the demand by comparing it with the annual budget and historical data.
• Organize periodic meetings with BUs to review demand, follow progress, and discuss any concerns.
Conduct capacity planning
• Jointly with production scheduling team, conduct reliable capacity planning studies, and use them to (1) split orders between inhouse fabrication and outsourcing partners (2) allocate machines to each BU (3) define machine loading and ensure full plant utilization.
Forecast analysis and potential risk identification
• In coordination with Business Planning team, review updated forecast receive from BU on monthly basis, identify any potential risk which may prevent future demand fulfilment, and take actions as needed  
Production schedule preparation and providing promised dates
• Ensure production schedules are prepared on time by the production scheduling team, respecting internal customers’ priorities, and give commitments to customers accordingly.
Follow up plan execution and document control
• Ensure all deadlines are respected by everyone and escalate any delays to management.
• Closely follow production plan execution with programming and production teams, and keep internal customers updated with progress and delivery status.
• Follow outsourcing of any bottleneck processes as identified during capacity planning
• Ensure all demand planning documents and trackers are always updated including demand master plan.
Timely and accurate ERP activities 
• Ensure production orders (P.Os) related to the monthly plan are opened on -time, RM consumed on-time and correctly, monitor cost variances, and report any concern.
• Ensure P.Os don’t stay open for a long time and closed beginning of next month.
• Ensure in-transit stock between metal factory and business units is minimal by ensuring BUs make GRs on time.
• Ensure BOM creation/updates are done on-time and accurately
• Create PR for all outsourced processes 
• Participate in stock count activities by performing SAP activities requested from him/her   
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Reporting 
• Prepare periodic reports and analysis of demand planning KPIs including plan % completion and on-time delivery

• Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
• Delegate sub-ordinates in each respective assignment.

• Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
• Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
• Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

• Resolve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues.
Business Process Improvements:
• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seeking automations opportunities as much as possible.
Compliance:
• Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions.

Academic Qualification
