Job Purpose

Overseeing, managing, and ensuring the proper execution of mechanical systems installations, maintenance, and operations on-site. Installing, and testing of HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection systems, and other mechanical infrastructure.

Key Accountability Areas

Design and Planning:

  • Review and understand mechanical system designs and ensure they are suitable for the  project.
  • Ensure that the mechanical components and systems (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, etc.) comply with local regulations, standards, and codes.
  • Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, and structural teams to ensure all mechanical systems are integrated smoothly into the overall villa design.

Site Supervision and Installation:

  • Oversee the installation of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc.) in line with approved plans.
  • Ensure that installation work is carried out as per the specifications, on time, and within budget.
  • Supervise mechanical subcontractors and contractors on-site, ensuring quality workmanship.
  • Conduct inspections of installed systems to ensure they meet required standards.
  • Address any on-site issues or delays related to mechanical work.

Coordination and Communication:

  • Liaise with other departments, including project managers, electrical engineers, and civil engineers, to coordinate mechanical work with the overall project schedule and activities.
  • Communicate progress, issues, and recommendations to the project manager and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in meetings and provide technical support regarding mechanical systems.

Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:

  • Identify and resolve any mechanical system issues that arise during installation or post-installation.
  • Provide solutions for any challenges encountered during construction related to mechanical systems.

Testing and Commissioning:

  • Oversee the testing, balancing, and commissioning of HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Ensure all systems are functional and operating as per design specifications.
  • Conduct performance checks and make adjustments as needed.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of mechanical systems installations, inspections, and tests.
  • Provide daily/weekly progress reports on mechanical work for management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all mechanical system documentation, such as operation manuals, warranties, and as-built drawings, is completed.

Maintenance and Handover:

  • Ensure that mechanical systems are handed over in good working condition.
  • Oversee the post-handover maintenance of systems, ensuring the villas' mechanical systems are maintained properly after occupancy.

  • Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.

Academic Qualification

Bachelor Degree in Any relevant field
