Job Purpose

Responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production equipment. Managing the team to ensure machines run efficiently, issues are resolved promptly, and production processes meet quality standards. Ensures smooth production operations and coordinates efforts to maintain equipment reliability and performance.

Key Accountability Areas

Equipment Operation:

  • Oversee the operation and monitoring of production equipment to ensure smooth and efficient production.
  • Ensure machines are properly set up and running to meet production needs and optimal performance.
  • Supervise the setup and calibration of machinery for production runs.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

  • Supervise troubleshooting and diagnosis of mechanical, electrical, and system issues to maintain production flow.
  • Coordinate responses to equipment failures and work with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and production disruptions.

Process Monitoring & Optimization:

  • Monitor production processes to ensure they meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
  • Ensure timely adjustments are made to equipment or processes to improve performance and reduce waste.
  • Review production data and oversee corrective actions for equipment and process improvements.

Role Accountability

HR Proficiency:

  • Training subordinates and forming a team to get the work effectively.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
  • Delegate sub-ordinates in each respective assignment.
  • Ensures fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale and motivation of subordinates.

Delivery:

  • Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
  • Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
  • Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

Problem-Solving:

  • Resolve any related problems that arise and escalate any complex operational issues.

Quality:

  • Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.

Business Process Improvements:

  • Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seeking automations opportunities as much as possible.

Compliance:

  • Comply with related policy and procedures and work instructions.

Safety:

  • Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.

Academic Qualification

Diploma Degree in Electrical Institute
