Job Purpose

Overseeing all the operational activities within a stockyard. Planning, coordination, cost control, and ensuring a safe work environment with leadership skills, management knowledge, and attention to detail will contribute to the smooth functioning of the stockyard.

Key Accountability Areas

Coordination of Activities:

  • Organize and oversee activities associated with the loading, unloading, and storage of materials.

Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor stock levels and oversee inventory movement.
  • Collaborate with inventory control personnel to maintain precise records.
  • Ensure accuracy in documenting stock movements and transactions.

Optimization Strategies:

  • Devise and implement strategies to optimize stockyard space and organization.

Reporting:

  • Generate daily reports detailing stockyard activities, encompassing inventory levels, shipments, and incidents.

Role Accountability

HR Proficiency:

  • Training subordinates and forming a team to get the work effectively.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
  • Delegate sub-ordinates in each respective assignment.
  • Ensures fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale and motivation of subordinates.

Delivery:

  • Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
  • Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
  • Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

Problem-Solving:

  • Resolve any related problems that arise and escalate any complex operational issues.

Quality:

  • Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.

Business Process Improvements:

  • Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seeking automations opportunities as much as possible.

Compliance:

  • Comply with related policy and procedures and work instructions.

Safety:

  • Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.

Academic Qualification

Diploma Degree in Any relevant field
