Laboratory Engineer | alfanar Electric

Job Purpose

Perform routine, sample, and type tests, coordinate customer committees, conduct rewinding and repair work, manage outgoing samples to sales and marketing departments, and oversee the development of power labs and tools to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Accountability Areas

Electrical Testing and Quality Assurance:

• Monitor routine electrical tests for each manufactured cable length to ensure compliance with specified requirements.
• Conduct electrical type tests as scheduled for type test plans, new designs, or when new machines are installed.
• Generate electrical test certificates and test reports for finished products.

Quality Control and Analysis:

• Oversee rewinding activities and implement corrective or preventive actions by analyzing root causes and non-conformities related to testing methods.
• Create and revise test work instructions and methods for all devices in the electrical test lab.

Customer Satisfaction and Delegation:

• Coordinate outgoing samples to the sales department, ensuring a welcoming customer reception and satisfaction through Customer Delegation (customer satisfaction surveys).

Health, Safety, and Efficiency Implementation:

• Enforce health and safety precautions and instructions from the professional security industry.
• Apply 5S and lean principles in the electrical tests field to improve efficiency.

Infrastructure Development:

• Develop power labs and tools to ensure cutting-edge testing capabilities.

Role Accountability

HR Proficiency:

• Training of sub-ordinates and forming a team to get the work effectively.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
• Delegate sub-ordinates in each respective assignment.
• Ensures fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale, motivation of subordinates.

Delivery:

• Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
• Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
• Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

Problem-Solving:

• Resolve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues.

Quality:

• Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.

Business Process Improvements:

• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seeking automations opportunities as much as possible.

Compliance:

• Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions.

Safety:

• Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.
