MANAGER, APPLICATIONS ADMINISTRATION

Job Purpose

Oversee the administration and optimization of critical enterprise applications, ensuring seamless operation, security, and performance. Requires leadership experience, technical expertise, and a strategic mindset to manage these platforms effectively and drive continuous improvement in system performance and user experience.

Key Accountability Areas

SAP Basis Administration:

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems, including SAP NetWeaver, SAP S/4HANA, and related SAP applications.
  • Manage system performance, tuning, and optimization of SAP environments.
  • Ensure SAP system availability, security, and backup/restore procedures are followed.
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting for SAP Basis and related infrastructure.
  • Manage SAP transport and change management processes.

ServiceNow Administration:

  • Oversee the administration of ServiceNow instances, ensuring optimal performance and availability of the ITSM, ITOM, and other ServiceNow modules.
  • Configure and customize ServiceNow workflows, forms, and business rules to meet business needs.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to implement new features and enhancements on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ServiceNow incidents, requests, and integrations with other systems.

Microsoft Power Platform Administration:

  • Administer and support Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents, ensuring proper configuration, security, and performance.
  • Develop and implement solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate to improve business processes.
  • Manage and monitor Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and security.
  • Collaborate with business teams to implement automation and data visualization solutions using the Power Platform.

SharePoint Administration:

  • Oversee the administration, configuration, and management of SharePoint environments, both on-premises and in the cloud (SharePoint Online).
  • Ensure SharePoint sites, document libraries, and workflows are optimized for performance and meet security requirements.
  • Manage user permissions, security settings, and content management practices within SharePoint.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to SharePoint performance, search functionality, and integration with other Microsoft 365 tools.

Incident and Problem Management:

  • Manage the response to incidents related to enterprise applications, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Analyze recurring problems or performance issues and develop strategies for root cause analysis and long-term solutions.
  • Maintain documentation of incidents, troubleshooting steps, and solutions to build a knowledge base for the team.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for third-party vendors, consultants, and service providers related to SAP, ServiceNow, Power Platform, and SharePoint.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage support agreements, and coordinate the resolution of vendor-related issues.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders across IT, business units, and senior leadership to ensure application needs are met and to provide updates on system status.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for SAP, ServiceNow, Power Platform, and SharePoint environments.
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports to management on system performance, security, upgrades, and incident resolution.
  • Provide comprehensive reports on system health, incident management, and project progress.

  • Develop the organizational structure according to the current requirements taking into consideration future and development plans.
  • Ensure availability of job descriptions for all job roles and deployment.
  • Business Process Improvements:

  • Develop, coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.
  • Should be conversant and able to navigate through IT solutions especially those relevant to his job and business.
  • Promote the automated systems and using them fully, to spread its culture.

  • Academic Qualification

    Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Any relevant field
