Job Purpose

Optimize and manage the production processes and workflows to ensure efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective manufacturing of electrical products. Providing guidance on manufacturing methods, machinery, and tools, collaborating with materials experts and suppliers to select suitable materials, and overseeing quality control processes. Focus on achieving optimal manufacturing outcomes while adhering to industry regulations and standards, contributing to the successful production of electrical products.

Key Accountability Areas

Product Design and Development:

  • Lead and guide a team of product designers, engineers, and professionals to conceive new electrical products or enhance existing ones.
  • Lead creative process for new products, with a focus on their aesthetics, functionality, and features, aligning them with market demands and company objectives.
  • Development of prototypes, ensuring they meet both performance and design criteria.
  • Utilize CAD software to craft detailed design specifications and streamline the communication of design concepts.

Manufacturing Process Design:

  • Optimize production processes and workflows to boost efficiency, product quality, and cost control.
  • Provide advice concerning manufacturing methods, machinery, and tools to meet the specific production requirements of electrical products.

Materials Management:

  • Collaborate closely with suppliers and materials experts to select the most suitable materials for manufacturing electrical products, considering factors such as cost and performance.

Cost and Budget Management:

  • Manage the budget for electrical product design and manufacturing, to reduce production costs without compromising the product's quality or performance.


Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that electrical products conform to established quality standards and specifications, implementing, and monitoring quality control processes and inspections as necessary.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance of electrical products with industry regulations and standards.

Research and Development:

  • Focus on industry trends, emerging technologies, and new materials, utilizing this knowledge to drive innovation and elevate the performance of both products and processes in the electrical domain.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, production, and quality control, to ensure the seamless alignment of product design and manufacturing processes with company goals and market needs.

Project Management:

  • Oversee the entire product development journey, from conceptualization to production, ensuring that projects are delivered punctually and within the designated budget.
  • Manage project resources, encompassing personnel, time, and budgets, to facilitate the successful execution of projects.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks in the product design and manufacturing processes, and proactively develop strategies to mitigate these risks.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Focus on opportunities to refine processes and products, reduce costs, and enhance quality, and swiftly implement the requisite changes to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.

Role Accountability

HR Proficiency:

  • Ability to recruit, recognize and cultivate high performers and expose them in order to create a robust second line of management.
  • Ability to recognize low performers and guide them to improve or release them.
  • Ability to treat subordinates equally without any discrimination.
  • Assessment criteria of subordinates is performance that leads to planned results.
  • Ensure availability of delegation of authority matrix to have sufficient delegations as per company policy.

  • Provide periodic work progress reports.
  • Responsible for monitoring and controlling budgets and expenses to achieve the optimum cost efficiency.

Organizational Development:

  • Develop the organizational structure according to the current requirements taking into consideration future and development plans.
  • Ensure availability of job descriptions for all job roles and deployment.

Business Process Improvements:

  • Develop, coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.
  • Should be conversant and able to navigate through IT solutions especially those relevant to his job and business.
  • Promote the automated systems and using them fully, to spread its culture.

Academic Qualification

Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
