Job Purpose
Lead the Strategy Management Office (SMO) in developing, implementing, and monitoring the organization's strategic plan. Ensures alignment between strategic objectives and operational execution, supports performance management, and enables informed decision-making across departments. Ensure that the business plans align with alfanar electric strategy.
Key Accountability Areas
Strategic Planning & Alignment:
- Coordinate with executive leadership to develop and periodically update the organization’s strategic plan.
- Lead strategic planning workshops and alignment sessions across departments.
- Ensure departmental plans and initiatives are fully aligned with overarching corporate objectives.
Performance Monitoring:
- Design and implement corporate performance management frameworks, including KPIs and the Balanced Scorecard.
- Monitor and analyze the execution of strategic objectives, providing insights through regular performance reporting.
- Lead performance review sessions and propose corrective actions to address gaps.
Governance & Reporting:
- Establish and maintain SMO governance frameworks, policies, and reporting standards.
- Prepare executive-level reports and dashboards to communicate strategic progress and performance.
- Manage documentation and version control for all strategic planning materials and updates.
Project & Initiative Oversight:
- Contribute to the management of the strategic project portfolio, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities.
- Work closely with the PMO (if applicable) to monitor project timelines and deliverables.
- Assist in prioritizing initiatives based on strategic value, feasibility, and organizational impact.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a strategic liaison between senior leadership and various business units.
- Support the internal communication and dissemination of strategic goals and initiatives.
- Promote engagement and foster alignment among stakeholders to drive strategy execution.
Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously benchmark and assess best practices in strategy management to enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Promote a culture of strategic thinking, performance accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

- Ability to recruit, recognize and cultivate high performers and expose them in order to create a robust second line of management.
- Ability to recognize low performers and guide them to improve or release them.
- Ability to treat subordinates equally without any discrimination.
- Assessment criteria of subordinates is performance that leads to planned results.
- Ensure availability of delegation of authority matrix to have sufficient delegations as per company policy.

- Able to Plan, follow-up and execute those plans, whether they are annual or development plans.
- Monitor the plan performance and initiate action to strengthen results and take the corrective action accordingly.
- Provide periodic work progress reports.
- Responsible for monitoring and controlling budgets and expenses to achieve the optimum cost efficiency.
Organizational Development:
- Develop the organizational structure according to the current requirements taking into consideration future and development plans.
- Ensure availability of job descriptions for all job roles and deployment.
Business Process Improvements:
- Develop, coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.
- Should be conversant and able to navigate through IT solutions especially those relevant to his job and business.
- Promote the automated systems and using them fully, to spread its culture.
Quality:
