Industrial Complex, Riyadh

The center of alfanar’s industrial activities is alfanar Industrial Complex situated in the Third Industrial Zone on Al-Kharj Road, Riyadh.

Spread across 700,000 square meters, the Complex houses alfanar’s facilities.

The Complex has a comprehensive infrastructure including a data and communication center as well as a commercial zone.

Job Purpose

This position exist to take full responsibility of overall management of Maintenance department. Plan, develop ,execute and monitor its activities and related systems by optimum resources at efficient cost. Deliver as per company quality standards. Manage the risks and opportunities to bring the department to a further step.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Ensure maintenance department is aligned with business objectives.
  • Design required SMART KPIs to achieve these business objectives. 
  • Maintain execution of the Maintenance Management system.
  • Ensure PM plan compliance.  
  • Develop the yearly maintenance budget and monitor departmental expenditures.
  • Manage training activities for workers in fields of safety, repair, and maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.
  • Meet with vendors and suppliers to discuss products used in repair work and approve them technically. 
  • Review any fabrication process of spare part / consumable.
  • Arrange for production team the daily maintenance/checks activities as a part of the PM plan.
  • Lead any change/modification process in the machine, spare parts & machine consumables. 
  • Plan & schedule planned / unplanned machinery down time by considering the QHSE as the most important parts.
  • Validate Major / repeated breakdowns RCA.
  • Direct, instruct & supervise maintenance engineers, foremen & technicians.
  • Manage the new machines installation and commissioning activities.
  • Participate in new machines specs selection.

  • Monitor the plan performance and initiate action to strengthen results and take the corrective action accordingly. 
  • Provide periodic work progress reports.
  • Responsible for monitoring and control budgets and expenses to achieve the optimum cost efficiency.  
  • Organizational Development
  • Develop the organizational structure according to the current requirements taking into consideration future and development plans. 
  • Ensure availability of job descriptions for all job roles and deploy them.
  • Business Process Improvements (Effectiveness)
  • Develop, coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seeking automations opportunities as much as possible.  
  • Should be conversant and able to navigate through IT solutions especially those relevant to his job and business.
