Mechatronics Engineer | ABS

Job Purpose

Mechatronics Engineer works with R&D team in alfanar building systems ( ABS ) in particular and with the whole family of staff running ABS at large to achieve the planned robotizing of different construction functions of housing industry in particular and building industry in general at site setup and at the factory set up.

Key Accountability Areas

• Scheduling & planning for execution of Automation projects.
• Define and estimating for all materials & equipment’s required for the project.
• Preparation for required shop drawings and materials / equipment submittal and attending all technical meetings with management in this concern.
• Supervision for installation, testing & commissioning of the Automation projects.
• Coordination activities between clients and the company during execution of projects.
• Weekly/ Monthly progressive reporting to company management.
• Designing, developing and enhancing electro-mechanical systems and mechatronic devices
• Conducting research, documenting findings, and presenting reports at meetings.
• Developing design documents for mechanical parts and final products.
• identifying areas of weakness in the production line or finished products and making recommendations for improvement.
• Selecting the required tools and materials for the manufacturing process.

Role Accountability

• Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechatronics covering mechanical, electrical & programming functions
• Must be abreast with MS office applications.
• Must be experienced in designing and manufacturing a project during university studies or through internships, demonstrating proficiency in translating conceptual designs into tangible prototypes or products.
• Ownership attitude when interfacing and coordinating with other business functions.
• Strong critical thinking, oral and written communication skills
• Able to prioritize tasks and to manage workloads in an effective manner with minimal direct supervision and flexibility in managing multiple and diverse tasks.
