Job Purpose
To plan, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes that ensure efficient production, adherence to quality standards, and timely delivery of products. This role involves driving continuous improvement initiatives, resolving critical path issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements and business objectives.
Key Accountability Areas
Manufacturing Process Management:
- Plan and implement appropriate tooling to ensure a smooth flow of products through the shop floor.
- Follow approved manufacturing practices and processes, suggesting improvements wherever possible.
- Design safe and efficient manufacturing processes capable of meeting labor cost estimates.
Production Project Coordination & Critical Path Management:
- Identify critical path issues and take decisive actions to achieve timely resolution.
- Help focus engineering activities to ensure fault-free and timely product delivery that exceeds customer expectations.
Quality Management:
- Ensure quality principles and standards are applied and adhered to throughout manufacturing processes.
- Implement practices to deliver products to customers right the first time and every time.
- Engage in mistake-proofing activities across all manufacturing processes.
Customer Support & Collaboration:
- Liaise with internal departments on bespoke customer requirements.
- Support diverse customer needs, from rapid prototype delivery to volume production.
- Assist with technical support for assembly and manufacturing operations to ensure product delivery aligns with customer expectations.
Performance Analysis & Reporting:
- Produce monthly Quote Vs Actual performance analysis reports and contribute to corrective actions as necessary.
- Complete end-of-month reports within agreed timelines.
Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in and drive continuous improvement programs across all aspects of engineering.
- Analyze, devise, and implement changes to manufacturing processes and systems to enhance efficiency and profit margins.
- Minimize or eliminate waste in all aspects of engineering.
Cost & Resource Management:
- Provide estimated labor times for the assembly of new products using the current approved model.
- Contribute to the specification of all process consumables used throughout the company.

- Ability to obtain updated soft and technical skills related to the job.
Delivery:
- Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
- Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
- Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.
Problem-Solving:
- Solve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues.
Quality:
- Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.
Business Process Improvements:
- Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.
Compliance:
- Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions.
Health, Safety, and Environment:
- Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.
