SECTION MANAGER, INTERNATIONAL TAX

Job Purpose

Control all types of tax reports (WHT, VAT, Transfer Pricing) and related auditing efficiently, in timely manner and quality standards as per the defined policies and procedures to achieve departmental operational plans and developments within wider scope.

Key Accountability Areas

Transfer Pricing Policies

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with transfer pricing policies on intercompany transactions, including royalties, management fees, and intercompany product purchases.
  • Manage and prepare documentation for transfer pricing studies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Identify and implement tax planning opportunities to minimize the company's global tax burden.
  • Participate in tax planning discussions, meetings, and conference calls.
  • Manage value-added tax (VAT) exposure and assist with VAT planning.
  • Oversee the preparation of transfer pricing documentation for all foreign and cross-border related party transactions.

Liaison with Internal and External Stakeholders

  • Collaborate with internal departments and foreign advisors to address tax-related issues.
  • Work with external tax advisors and auditors to address tax inquiries and resolve disputes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement tax compliance procedures and controls.

Consolidation and Review

  • Manage the process for consolidating and reviewing tax estimates provided by tax teams for budgets and forecasts.
  • Advise on the tax implications of international transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, foreign investments, and cross-border financing.
  • Assist with tax audits and investigations.

Supervision and Review

  • Supervise concurrent engagements, review senior and staff work, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Prepare and review international tax returns and reports for various jurisdictions.
  • Stay current with international tax regulations and developments and analyze their impact on the company's tax position.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date tax records and documentation.

  • Provide periodic work progress reports.
  • Responsible for monitoring and controlling budgets and expenses to achieve the optimum cost efficiency.

Organizational Development:

  • Develop the organizational structure according to the current requirements taking into consideration future and development plans.
  • Ensure availability of job descriptions for all job roles and deployment.

Business Process Improvements:

  • Develop, coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.
  • Should be conversant and able to navigate through IT solutions especially those relevant to his job and business.
  • Promote the automated systems and using them fully, to spread its culture.

Academic Qualification

Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Finance or Any relevant field
