Industrial Complex, Riyadh

The center of alfanar’s industrial activities is alfanar Industrial Complex situated in the Third Industrial Zone on Al-Kharj Road, Riyadh.

Spread across 700,000 square meters, the Complex houses alfanar’s facilities.

The Complex has a comprehensive infrastructure including a data and communication center as well as a commercial zone.

Job Purpose

The role is responsible for studying, designing, and developing protection and control panels based on customer requirements and specifications. This includes translating design concepts into engineering drawings, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. The position involves participating in design reviews, collaborating with senior engineers, and addressing technical issues during production. Additionally, the role oversees technical procurement, manages design document control, and supervises the preparation of As-Built drawings after commissioning. The position ensures all designs meet safety standards and quality requirements while adhering to project timelines.

Key Accountability Areas

Major Responsibilities:

  • Outline the principal duties of the job holder, ensuring alignment with deliverables.

Design Realization:

  • Translate designs from specifications, sketches, base designs, schematics, etc., into engineering drawings.

Engineering Document Preparation:

  • Examine received input data/specifications and generate configuration/engineering/design drawings/software/detailed planning or any other engineering document.
  •  Selecting equipment in line with applicable specifications, codes, and standards.

Design Participation and Implementation:

  • Participate in design reviews.
  • Prepare and execute designs in compliance with contractual standards and the base design prepared by the senior engineer.
  • Analyze, implement, and integrate design requirements.

Collaboration and Interface:

  • Collaborate with senior design engineers.

Technical Procurement:

  • Issue technical purchase orders for various items/services following the purchasing procedure.

Code and Standards Adherence:

  • Generate drawings for different systems based on codes and standards.

Technical Issue Resolution:

  • Resolve any technical problems arising during production.
  • Clarify technical issues related to design with QC/Testing.

Supervision and As-Built Drawings:

  • Supervise the preparation of As-Built drawings after the commissioning of panels at the site.

Document Control:

  • Manage all design documents relevant to the project.

Safety Compliance:

  • Enforce all safety procedures.

Academic Qualification

Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
