Job Purpose

Formulate and implement effective approaches and plans for Training activities of the group to enable the establishment of a learning culture, supporting the knowledge transportation function with all training requirements.

Identify and monitor training needs in the organization, and design, plan, and implement training programs, policies, and procedures to fulfill those needs with optimum resources at an efficient cost. Deliver as per company quality standards. Manage the risks and opportunities to bring the department to a further step.

Key Accountability Areas

Training Plans:

  • Oversee the development of training schedules for participants and instructors in order to ensure that all planned training programs are delivered during the calendar year.
  • Organize and monitor the annual training schedule for both in-house and external training programs.

Training Identification:

  • Establish and implement the process for training needs identification and ensure these inputs are utilized to draw up division, department and function-wise priorities for training initiatives.

Training Resources:

  • Organize training resources including sourcing and short-listing of training and learning material vendors and drive training and learning initiatives from start to finish.  
  • Negotiate with external training providers to obtain cost-effective and quality inputs tailored to the Company’s requirements.

Training Content

  • Initiate, develop, and improve the content of alfanar customized training programs , as per the specific needs of the training course, (i.e.: skills, competencies, career development, etc..)

Induction Programs

  • Develop and implement an effective and efficient Induction Program in accordance to alfanar new employees

Career Development Plans:

  • Support HR managers in the development of master career development plans for all Divisions while ensuring an appropriate link with the Training function and direct plan implementation and monitor progress. 
  • Plan and implement career management initiatives commensurate with the organization’s overall training and development approach for selected employee groups.

Training Surveys:

  • Monitor feedback on alfanar training & Development programs and utilize these for continuous improvement. 
  • Establish a process for obtaining post-training feedback on staff’s knowledge and expertise from other Departments and divisions to gauge effectiveness of training
  • Assign the return on investment (ROI) of any training or development program conducted.

Effective learning:

  • Ensure the effective achievement of the development departmental objectives through the leadership of the Training Function – setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximize subordinate and the performance of the section.

Training Budget

  • Monitor the financial performance of the Training function against budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon

  • Ability to recruit, recognize and cultivate high performers and expose them in order to create a robust second line of management.

  • Ensure availability of delegation of authority matrix to have sufficient delegations as per company policy.

  • Provide periodic work progress reports.
  • Responsible for monitoring and controlling budgets and expenses to achieve the optimum cost efficiency.

Organizational Development:

  • Develop the organizational structure according to the current requirements taking into consideration future and development plans.
  • Ensure availability of job descriptions for all job roles and deployment.

Business Process Improvements:

  • Develop, coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.
  • Should be conversant and able to navigate through IT solutions especially those relevant to his job and business.
  • Promote the automated systems and using them fully, to spread its culture.

Academic Qualification

Bachelor Degree in Human Resources
